There’s something about these sliders that always gets people gathered around the table. Maybe it’s the buttery, golden buns, the melty Swiss cheese, or the way the savory ham pairs perfectly with a touch of sweetness from the glaze.

Whatever it is, these little sandwiches are the kind of crowd-pleasing comfort food that disappears faster than you can set the platter down.

Why I love this recipe

I can never say no to ham and Swiss sliders! They’re already a winning combo packed with layers of flavor, but the buttery topping takes them to another level. They also bake all at once, making them effortless to prepare and perfect for an easy weeknight meal or addition to a potluck or gathering.

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and coat a 9×13” baking dish with nonstick spray.

Tips for Best Results

  • Use fresh rolls: Hawaiian rolls work best, but any soft dinner roll will do.
  • Don’t skip the sauce: The buttery mustard sauce makes these sliders extra flavorful.
  • Cover while baking: This keeps the rolls soft and allows the cheese to melt perfectly.
  • Bake uncovered at the end: A few extra minutes without foil gives the tops a golden, slightly crispy finish.
  • Let them rest: Give them a minute after baking to soak up all the delicious flavors.

Variations

Not a fan of Swiss? Try cheddar, provolone, or mozzarella instead. If you like a touch of sweetness, a little extra brown sugar will do the trick.

For a more savory twist, reduce the sugar and add garlic powder or Worcestershire sauce to the butter mixture. And for an extra treat, toss in some crispy bacon!

Serving suggestions

These sliders make a perfect meal on their own, but they’re even better with sides! A fresh salad, some coleslaw, or a cozy bowl of broccoli cheese soup works well. If you want to add more variety, potato wedges or a cucumber tomato avocado salad are great options.

Storage

Keep leftover sliders in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. When it’s time to reheat, the oven is your best bet—300°F for about 10 minutes should do the trick. The microwave can make the buns a bit mushy, so try to avoid it!
