  • Serve the sandwiches immediately for the best taste and texture.

Serving suggestions

There are a ton of options for what to serve with a chicken club sandwich!

  • Crispy Fries or Chips: The classic combo can never do wrong – simple, salty, crunchy.
  • Pickle Spears: For that zesty crunch and tangy flavor that cuts through the richness.
  • Coleslaw: The creaminess and the crunch of coleslaw offer a refreshing contrast.
  • Fruit Salad: A light, healthy, and sweet option to balance the savory sandwich.

Variations

Flexibility is the spice of life, and with just a few tweaks, you can create a different experience every time.

Try a fancier bread like a thick-cut sourdough, ciabatta, or buns, or swap out the American cheese for something with a bit more edge, like a sharp cheddar, swiss cheese, or creamy brie. Truffle aoili can be used in place of regular mayonnaise as well. Introduce avocado or a fried egg to escalate this club sandwich to brunch status.

When looking to reduce calories without sacrificing taste, consider whole grain bread, low-fat cheese, turkey bacon, or a light mayo alternative. You could even throw in some spinach instead of lettuce for an extra nutrient punch.

Storage

If you have leftovers or want to prepare the sandwich in advance, here are some tips:

  • Store the ingredients separately to prevent the sandwich from becoming soggy.
  • Toast the bread just before assembling and eating the sandwich for the best texture.
  • If you need to store the assembled sandwich, wrap it tightly in plastic wrap or airtight containers and refrigerate. Consume within 24 hours for the best taste.
  • Reheat your chicken club for crispy bread and melty cheese without sogginess! Try the toaster oven (350°F for 10 minutes) or oven (325°F for 15-20 minutes) wrapped in foil. Skip the microwave for best results.
