Variations

Are you looking to mix things up? Add different nuts, some dried fruits, or a sprinkle of spicy seasoning for a kick. We sometimes add a dash of Worcestershire sauce or Lawry’s seasoning salt to the mix with good results.

You can also experiment with flavored pretzels, Cheerios, oyster crackers, bagel chips, or throw in some Cheez-its. The combinations are endless!

Serving suggestions

Serve this snack mix on its own (I like to bag it up for my kids to take to school as a snack) or in a game day spread with other finger foods like chips with crock pot spicy queso and jalapeño popper wontons.

Storage

To store this slow cooker Chex mix, let it cool completely before placing it in an airtight container and keep at room tepmerature. It will stay fresh for up to two weeks, though it never lasts that long in my house!

If it gets a bit soft, spread the mix out on a baking sheet and reheat it in the oven at 250°F for about 15 minutes to crisp it up again.
