Like I feel about poke cakes, I don’t think you can ever have too many different flavors of fruity fluff salad! Also called, orange jello fluff, orange creamsicle fluff, or orange jello salad, this easy recipe is similar to the ambrosia salad and watergate salad recipes that were a huge hit in the 1960s and 70s.

Why I love this recipe

I love this simple recipe because you really can’t mess it up. Just mix up a few ingredients and pop it in the fridge until you’re ready to share. It’s crowd favorite and you can make it ahead of time to save prep time if you are entertaining or it is a special occasion. What’s not to love?

  3. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Make ahead and storage

Make ahead – A lot of people find this orange fluff jello salad recipe tastes even better when made a day ahead of time to let the flavors blend. The texture of the marshmallows does soften as the salad sits, so this is a personal preference. Try it both ways and decide on your favorite!

Storage – Store fluff salad in an airtight container or covered in plastic wrap in the fridge for up to 5 days.

Variations and add-ins

This is a great recipe to experiment with. Some people prefer adding in cream cheese, yogurt, or sour cream to change up the flavor profile. You can add in fruit cocktail, crushed pineapple, or a chopped pecans or walnuts to add in some texture. You can also change the entire flavor of the dessert by switching out the jello flavor (like with our cherry fluff recipe.)

You may also use fat free whipped topping and sugar free jello to lighten the recipe up more.
