Why I love this recipe
- with no baking required, these bars are perfect for satisfying sudden cravings or whipping up a quick dessert.
- the combination of Oreo cookies, marshmallows, and white chocolate creates a flavor explosion that’s simply irresistible.
- whether you’re hosting a party or simply treating yourself, these bars are sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them.
Ingredients
- Oreo cookies
- butter
- mini marshmallows
- white chocolate (use 8 oz. if you want to cover the entire top instead of drizzling)
Step by step
- Crush the Oreos: In a food processor, crush the Oreo cookies until they resemble fine crumbs. Set aside about 4-6 Oreos to use as toppings if desired. If your food processor is not large enough, you may need to crush the Oreos in batches.
- Melt the Butter and Marshmallows: In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the mini marshmallows and stir continuously until smooth and melted.
- Combine with Oreos: Quickly pour the melted marshmallow mixture into the bowl of crushed Oreos. Stir until well combined. The mixture will harden quickly as it cools.
- Form the Bars: Line a square baking pan with parchment paper or grease it with butter. Transfer the Oreo marshmallow mixture into the pan and press it down firmly using your hands or a measuring cup. Allow it to set for about 10-15 minutes.
- Drizzle with Chocolate and Garnish: Melt the white chocolate and drizzle it over the top of the bars. Alternatively, you can use 8 oz. of white chocolate to cover the entire top of the bars. Sprinkle the remaining crushed Oreos on top for added texture and presentation.
Tips for Best Results
- be sure to work quickly when combining the melted marshmallows with the crushed Oreos, as the mixture will begin to harden as it cools
- for a chunkier texture, pulse the Oreos in the food processor instead of blending continuously
- allow the bars to set completely before cutting into them to ensure clean slices
Serving suggestion
Pair these bars with a tall glass of dunkin copycat frozen coffee for the ultimate indulgence. Trust me, the combination of creamy chocolate and cold coffee is a match made in dessert heaven! Or you should try our Oreo Poke Cake.
Variations
- swap out the white chocolate for dark or milk chocolate for a different flavor profile.
- add some chopped nuts or sprinkles on top for extra crunch and color.
- experiment with different flavored Oreos for a fun twist.
- and let’s not forget about that white chocolate drizzle—it adds just the right amount of sweetness and elegance to elevate these bars to gourmet status.
Storage
To keep your Oreo marshmallow bars fresh and delicious, store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days. If you manage to resist devouring them all in one sitting, that is!
