I admit it, I’m crazy for poke cakes (Like my Lemon Poke Cake, Boston Cream Pie Poke Cake, Orange Creamsicle Poke Cake, Christmas Poke Cake, or Red, White, and Blue Poke Cake!) So when I realized my very favorite poke cake recipe for OREO Poke Cake wasn’t published on the blog, it was the perfect excuse to whip one up!

Ingredients

This is a simple recipe. You’ll need:

  • Chocolate cake mix + ingredients to make cake (egg, oil, water)
  • 3 cups milk
  • 2 packages OREO instant pudding mix
  • 8 oz tub whipped cream (Cool Whip)
  • extra OREO cookies for topping

Step by step

You’ll first prepare a chocolate cake according to the directions on the box of cake mix, then allow it to cool for about 15 minutes after baking.

While it’s cooling mix up your pudding mix, and milk together (the pudding mix has cookie crumbles in it so the mixture will be lumpy.)

Next, it’s time to poke, poke, poke away! Use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes in the cake one inch apart.

Now pour the pudding mixture over the cake, aiming for those holes to allow the mixture to soak into the warm cake!

Is your mouth watering yet??? Ue the back of a spoon to smooth the mixture over the cake.

Finally, top the cake with whipped cream and cookie crumbles and refrigerate for at least one hour to let all that flavor come together!

The result is absolutely indulgent!! Just wait until your next potluck to see how big of a hit this poke cake is!
