These easy biscuit cinnamon rolls start with pre-made refrigerated biscuits.  I told you they were easy!  

You see, not only are these cinnamon roll biscuits topped with the rich, cinnamon sugar mixture, but tucked inside those lovely biscuits is another pocket of cinnamon sugar filling that gets warm and bubbly as these bake.  Does it get better than that?

Ingredients

  • Pillsbury Grands flaky butter biscuit dough
  • unsalted butter
  • granulated sugar
  • light brown sugar (packed)
  • all-purpose flour
  • ground cinnamon
  • chopped pecans

If you prefer to make these from scratch I recommend whipping up a batch of our dinner yeast rolls dough and using that to make the biscuits or try these homemade buttermilk biscuits.

Step by step

  1. Preheat oven and prepare a large baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the butter, sugars, flour, and cinnamon until uniform.
  3. Slice each biscuit in half horizontally and spread 1 tablespoon of the cinnamon sugar mixture in between the layers.
  4. Repeat with each biscuit and place side by side in baking dish.
  5. Spread the tops of the biscuits with the remaining cinnamon sugar mixture and sprinkle with pecans.
  6. Bake for 12 – 14 minutes, until the biscuits are golden brown.

Serving suggestions

These are a delicious breakfast on their own but if you wanted to balance out the meal with some savory options you can serve it with slow cooker breakfast casserole or serve a crowd with sheet pan eggs.

To make the entire spread a sweet treat, try it with cinnamon rolls waffles, overnight waffle breakfast casserole, or cinnamon roll monkey bread muffins!

Storage

Store any leftover cinnamon roll biscuits in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans – 8 count Pillsbury Grands flaky butter biscuits
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • 6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cups chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and prepare a large baking pan with nonstick cooking spray. Depending on the size of your baking pans, you may need to use two.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the butter, sugars, flour and cinnamon.
  3. Separate each biscuit in half and spread about 1 tablespoon of the cinnamon sugar mixture in between the layers.
  4. Repeat with each biscuit and place side by side in baking dish.
  5. Spread the tops of the biscuits with the remaining cinnamon sugar mixture and sprinkle with pecans.
  6. Bake for 12 – 14 minutes, until the biscuits are golden brown.
