Tips for Best Results

  • Use fresh broccoli as it gives the best texture and flavor.
  • Don’t overcook the orzo; you want it tender, not mushy.
  • Stir frequently to prevents the orzo from sticking and ensures even cooking.

Variations

  • Try using Gruyere or Parmesan for a different cheesy twist.
  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper for some heat.
  • Substitute other vegetables like cauliflower or peas for a change.

Serving suggestions

I love serving it with a simple veggie salad for a balanced meal. You could also pair it with chicken or salmon for added protein. If you’re feeling extra indulgent, a side of garlic bread makes a fantastic accompaniment.

Storage

Keep any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.

Reheat in the microwave or gently warm it on the stove over low heat. If the dish needs a bit more creaminess, just add a splash of milk or cream.
