While many people can be intimidated by tart recipes, I’m all about making it easy. No fuss food, remember? We make the tart crust out of premade frozen puff pastry so the hardest thing you need to do is remember to thaw it beforehand!
Because this recipe is so easy to make, cleanup is easy too. No stack of dishes in the sink to take away the joy of this delicious dessert!
Ingredients
- puff pastry dough
- Nutella (of course!)
- chocolate chips
- strawberries
- powdered sugar for dusting
Step by step
This recipe is so easy, even if it does look “fancy!”
- Thaw the puff pastry dough according to the package directions.
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Lay the puff pastry on the prepared baking sheet and spread with Nutella, leaving a border around the edges.
- Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the Nutella.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool for 5 minutes and top with sliced strawberries and powdered sugar.
Can’t you practically taste the buttery puff pastry and that rich chocolate hazelnut spread melting in your mouth??
Variations
- sprinkle with chopped hazelnuts
- sprinkle with chocolate chips after baking instead of before
- change up your fruit: raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, even sliced banana would all be great alternatives to the strawberries
Storage
Store this tart in the refrigerator in an airtight container up to 3 days.

Description
This delicious Nutella Tart will satisfy your sweet tooth in a BIG way! A buttery, flaky puff pastry is topped with Nutella and chocolate and bakes up in less than 20 minutes!
Ingredients
- One sheet of puff pastry (thawed according to package directions)
- 2/3 cup Nutella
- 2 tablespoons mini chocolate chips
- 10 strawberries
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400*.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Slice the sheet of puff pastry in half and place both halves on the baking sheet.
- Spread about 1/3 cup of Nutella on each tart, leaving about a 1/2 inch allowance around the edge of the tart.
- Sprinkle each tart with 1 tablespoon of mini chocolate chips.
- Bake the tarts for 10 – 12 minutes or until pastry is golden brown and baked through. The tarts will puff during cooking.
- Allow the tarts to cool slightly – they will settle and sink down a bit.
- While the tarts are cooling, slice the strawberries.
- Pile the strawberry slices down the middle of the tart and dust generously with powdered sugar.
- Slice and serve!
