Now before we get started, I thought I’d let you know I almost didn’t share this recipe with you. This creamy, savory, cheesy Crock Pot of deliciousness almost stayed in the unpublished archives here at Shaken Together, never to see the light of day. Why?

Let’s be honest.

It is pretty hard to make a Crock Pot full of brownish orange chili cheese dip look appetizing.

But you know what? It is darn good. So, let’s not judge a book by the cover and DIG IN!

Crock Pot Chili Cheese Dip

This recipe is from my Aunt Lori – the queen of appetizers and party food. These Crock Pot Apple Jelly Meatballs? Her recipe. She just has this great knack for serving really delicious food for a crowd. And since my two teenage boys eat like a crowd, I knew this chili cheese dip would be a touch down!

Now, since we’ve already cleared the air about the outward appearance of this Crock Pot Chili Cheese Dip, here is what it looks like before my Crock Pot got ahold of it and melted it all together. Just a bunch of chili and cheese and basic spices. Easy. Simple. Classic.

Once your Crock Pot or slow cooker does its thing, you will have a big pot of bubbly, seasoned chili cheese sauce just waiting to pour over nachos, top grilled hot dogs, drizzle over a plate of crispy fries or even sauce up a baked potato!

Description

This ooey, gooey, creamy Crock Pot Chili Cheese dip is delicious drizzled over nachos, hot dogs, fries and even baked potatoes. It is classic game day grub and a great addition to your tailgating or pot luck spread!

Ingredients

Scale
  • Two 10.5 oz cans of chili without beans
  • 8 oz. 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 8 oz. jar Cheez Whiz
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients in a crock pot.
  2. Set to low and stir occasionally until dip is melted and heated thoroughly, about 1 hour.
  3. Serve over tortilla chips, hot dogs, french fries or even baked potatoes!

Notes

Since I have a large Crock Pot, I doubled the recipe and used 2 – 25 oz. cans of chili without beans, a 15 oz jar of Cheez Whiz and 4 cups of shredded cheese. I also doubled the spices.
