Tips for Making the Best Baked Pork Chops

  • Always remove the pork chops from the refrigerator at least 15 minutes before cooking to allow them to come to room temperature.
  • Always season pork chops before cooking, err on the side of more seasoning than less as pork chops can tend to come out bland if not seasoned well.
  • Sear the pork chops on all sides when baking them to lock in flavor and ensure they cook evenly.

  1. I was excited about the baked chops and rice until I the amount of butter was revealed. Yikes! This seems like a seriously unhealthy recipe. In the last 10 years America went from 30% to 42% obesity. So my ? for you is, are you being responsible in teaching a healthy lifestyle, especially in today’s culture of sit and stick your nose in a phone or iPad screen. There’s gotta be a way to make this healthier! We are a family of 10 adopted varying special needs kids, so eating mostly healthy is of importance to us. Thanks.
