Cinnamon Sugar Biscuit Bites are the perfect little treats to satisfy that sweet tooth without spending hours in the kitchen. Think churro meets cinnamon roll meets donut and you can imagine how tasty they are!
They are made from simple refrigerated biscuit dough that is cut into bite-size pieces, baked, dipped in melted butter, rolled in cinnamon sugar, and broiled until golden. The result? A sweet, crispy exterior with a soft, pillowy inside.
Why I Love This Recipe
- I can make these in under 20 minutes from start to finish.
- Just a few simple ingredients I normally have on hand.
- Everyone loves these—kids, adults, you name it!
- Perfect for breakfast, dessert, or a sweet snack.
Ingredients
- refrigerated canned biscuits
- salted butter
- granulated white sugar
- ground cinnamon
Step by step
- Preheat oven to 350° Fahrenheit. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- Cut each biscuit into quarters and place on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes until just cooked through.
- While the biscuit pieces are baking, melt the butter in a small mixing bowl.
- In another small bowl, stir together the cinnamon and sugar.
- Remove the biscuits from the oven. Allow to cool for 3-5 minutes so you can handle them safely.
- Dip each biscuit into the butter mixture and then the cinnamon mixture. Setting back onto the baking sheet. Repeat this step for each biscuit bite. You want to ensure all sides are very well coated.
- Place biscuits under the broiler for 1-2 minutes until the sugar has carmalized. Be sure to watch this step very closely so that you don’t burn the sugar.
Tips for Best Results
- When broiling, the sugar can burn quickly so watch them carefully.
- They’re best enjoyed warm, fresh out of the oven.
Variations
If you want to change things up, try adding a dash of nutmeg or allspice to the cinnamon-sugar mixture for a more complex flavor. You could also drizzle some caramel or chocolate sauce over the bites for an extra indulgence.
Serving Suggestions
You can serve these biscuit bites as a sweet breakfast or after-school snack. They are also wonderful for dessert, drizzled with a little chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, or cream cheese frosting.
Storage
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
To reheat, simply pop them in the microwave for 10-15 seconds to bring back that warm, fresh-from-the-oven taste. If you want to maintain their crispiness, a quick broil in the oven or air fry will do the trick.
