Best Way to Reheat Hamburgers

Of all the reheating methods to reheat leftover hamburgers, I prefer this first one, the stovetop with a secret ingredient. The best method, in my opinion, is the one that keeps the burger patties moist and juicy.

The other options just don’t cut it in that respect. But if you’d rather try a different way to reheat those leftover burgers, I’ve listed some alternative methods. Follow the detailed instructions for your preferred way to reheat your leftover burger patties.

Stovetop

Reheating a hamburger patty in a skillet is a great way to enjoy a juicy and flavorful hamburger. By using a skillet, you can control the temperature of the patty, giving you the best results and heating evenly and thoroughly. The skillet holds in the moisture of the patty, resulting in a juicy burger that rivals any freshly made hamburger.

Plus, the skillet can be used to make other delicious burger components like caramelized onions and mushrooms. Reheating a hamburger patty in a skillet is an easy and delicious way to enjoy a hamburger.

1. Add 1/2 cup of beef broth to the bottom of the small non-stick pan. The beef broth is the key ingredient to reheating a juicy and delicious burger!

2. Place the hamburger patties in the broth and cover. Locking the steam in the frying pan will majorly increase the moisture in the patty.

3. Heat over medium-high heat for 4 minutes, flip, and recover for an additional 3-4 minutes or until heated through.

Oven

Reheating a hamburger patty in the oven works out well because it’s a quick, easy, and efficient method. Unlike a microwave, the oven heats the patty evenly so the patty is cooked through.

The use of an oven also helps to retain the flavor and juiciness of the patty. You can always add beef broth to a baking dish with the patty to reheat.

1. Preheat oven to 400°F.

2. Place hamburger patty on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil or in a baking pan with beef broth or a little bit of water for more moisture.

3. Bake for 8-10 minutes, flipping once during cooking.

4. Serve with desired condiments and sides.

Microwave

Reheating a hamburger patty in the microwave is a great way to quickly and easily revive a burger that has gone cold. It is a convenient and fast way to reheat if you’re in a hurry.

Make sure to check the internal temperature since the microwave may heat unevenly, and you don’t want to bite into a cold burger. Another reason you might want to use the microwave to reheat a hamburger patty is that it’s much less messy than using a skillet.

1. Place hamburger patty on a microwave-safe dish wrapped in a slightly damp paper towel.

2. Heat on high power or on the reheat setting for 1-2 minutes.

3. Serve with desired condiments and sides.

Grill

Reheating a hamburger patty on the grill is a great way to get that juicy, flavorful experience every time.

The heat from the grill will help to caramelize the patty, giving it a nice, seared flavor. Plus, the added smokiness from the grill will really bring out the flavor of the patty.

The texture of the patty will also be improved, as it will be crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside. This is a great way to enjoy a hamburger patty that was cooked the day before or even frozen.

1. Preheat a gas or charcoal grill to medium-high heat.

2. Place the hamburger patty on the grill and cook for 3-4 minutes, flipping once during cooking.

3. Serve with desired condiments and sides.

No matter which method you decide is the best option, you’ll be able to enjoy your reheated burger as much as you enjoyed it fresh!
