Description

Slow Cooker Chocolate Cobbler is a rich, gooey dessert that’s as easy as it is indulgent. It forms a fudgy bottom layer and a soft, cake-like top, all made right in the crockpot. Best served with warm ice cream for the ultimate comfort treat!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups boiling water
  • 3 ½ cups white granulated sugar, divided
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup melted salted butter
  • 6 tablespoons + ½ cup cocoa powder, divided
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • vanilla ice cream, optional garnish

Instructions

  1. Add all the ingredients to the crockpot, leaving out 2 cups of sugar and ½ cup of cocoa powder. Stir everything until well combined.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the remaining 2 cups of sugar and ½ cup of cocoa powder until fully blended.
  3. Sprinkle this cocoa mixture evenly over the top of the ingredients in the crockpot.
  4. Cover and cook on high for 3 to 4 hours, or until the top is firm.
  5. Serve warm with a scoop of ice cream, if you like, and enjoy!

Notes

  • Don’t panic about the appearance, as the top will look very dark and possibly burnt when it’s done, but I promise it’s just the deep chocolate color coming through.
