Description

This one-pan wonder delivers classic lasagna flavors in just 35 minutes. Enjoy layers of noodles, savory meat, and tomato sauce, with creamy cottage and melty mozzarella cheeses. It’s the perfect, hassle-free weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 3 tsp garlic, minced
  • 8 oz bowtie pasta, dry
  • 1 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes
  • 8 oz can tomato sauce
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 1/2 tsp oregano, dried
  • 1 tbsp onion flakes, dried and minced
  • 1/4 tsp salt and pepper
  • 2/3 cup cottage cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, divided
  • Parmesan cheese
  • parsley, for toppings (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, add the ground beef, salt, pepper, oregano, onion flakes, and minced garlic. Cook over medium heat until the beef is fully cooked and browned.
  2. Add the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, chicken broth, and pasta noodles to the pan. Stir until everything is well combined.
  3. Cover and bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce the heat and simmer for about 14-18 minutes, or until the noodles are cooked through.
  4. Once the noodles are cooked, remove the skillet from the heat. Add the cottage cheese and 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, stirring well until everything is combined.
  5. Top with the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella cheese. Cover and cook for another 1-2 minutes, or until the cheese on top has melted.
  6. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley (optional) before serving.
