Jalapeño Popper Wonton Cups

Description

These Jalapeño popper wonton cups are the perfect mix of crispy and creamy! It is filled with cheesy goodness and just the right amount of spice, they are perfect appetizer or party snack that everyone will love!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • 8 ounces of cream cheese
  • 3/4 cup bacon pieces
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1-2 Jalapeño, diced, seeds and ribs removed
  • Optional: 2 extra Jalapeños, sliced, for topping


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray a muffin tin with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Add the wonton wrappers to the tin by pressing one down into a muffin cup and then adding a 2nd wonton wrapper, rotating it slightly to alternate where the corners stick up and cover the entire muffin cup.
  3. Bake the cups for 5 minutes then remove from the oven. (Keep the oven on.)
  4. Meanwhile, use a fork to soften the cream cheese in a medium mixing bowl.
  5. Fold in 1/2 cup of bacon pieces, 1 cup of shredded cheese, and the diced jalapeño.
  6. Use a spoon to add the cream cheese mixture evenly between the muffin cups.
  7. Top with the remaining shredded cheese and bacon pieces.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until everything is melted and the wonton cups are golden brown.
  9. Top with an additional slice of fresh jalapeño if desired.
