Description
These Doritos Chicken Tenders are juicy on the inside and crunchy on the outside, with bold cheesy flavor, perfect with chipotle ranch dressing. They’re easy to make in just 40 minutes and make a fun meal for dinner, game nights, or parties.

- 1-pound chicken tenders or boneless chicken breast, cut into strips
- 1 ½ cups crushed Doritos, nacho cheese flavor, or your favorite
- ½ cup breadcrumbs, optional, for extra crispiness
- 2 large eggs
- ¼ cup milk
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- cooking oil or spray
For the chipotle ranch dressing:
- ½ cup mayonnaise (120 ml)
- ½ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt (120 ml)
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1–2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, finely chopped (adjust for spice level)
- 1 teaspoon adobo sauce (from the chipotle can)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Crush the Doritos into fine crumbs using a food processor, or place them in a sealed bag and crush with a rolling pin. If using, stir in the breadcrumbs.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. Set aside.
- In another bowl, combine garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Rub this mixture onto the chicken strips until evenly coated.
- Dip each chicken strip into the egg mixture, then press it into the Doritos mixture to coat completely.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Lightly spray with cooking oil.
- Place the coated chicken strips on the prepared sheet and bake for 18–22 minutes, flipping once halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- While chicken is cooking mix together chipotle ranch dressing and store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
- Serve hot with dipping sauce.
