- 1 pound bacon, chopped
- 1 onion, diced
- 5 tablespoons minced garlic
- 1 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 pound broccoli florets
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Brown bacon in a large skillet over medium heat. Remove and allow to drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
- Leave the bacon grease in the skillet and add onions. Sauté for 3 minutes or until onions are soft and translucent.
- Add broccoli and garlic cook 3-5 minutes or until broccoli is bright green and fork-tender.
- Reduce heat to low and add heavy cream. Stir and simmer 3-5 minutes or until the sauce is thickened.
- Return bacon to the pan and stir.
- Top with shredded mozzarella cheese. Allow to melt or alternatively broil for a minute to melt the cheese.
