Description

Creamy garlic bacon and broccoli is a fast and tasty 20 minute recipe. Crisp bacon and tender broccoli are served up with a creamy garlic sauce and topped with cheese. Serve it up as a savory side dish or make it the main course for a low carb or keto meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound bacon, chopped
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 5 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 pound broccoli florets
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

 


Instructions

  1. Brown bacon in a large skillet over medium heat. Remove and allow to drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  2. Leave the bacon grease in the skillet and add onions. Sauté for 3 minutes or until onions are soft and translucent.
  3. Add broccoli and garlic cook 3-5 minutes or until broccoli is bright green and fork-tender.
  4. Reduce heat to low and add heavy cream. Stir and simmer 3-5 minutes or until the sauce is thickened.
  5. Return bacon to the pan and stir.
  6. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese. Allow to melt or alternatively broil for a minute to melt the cheese.
