Description

Bacon Wrapped Little Smokies are sweet, smoky, a little spicy, and completely irresistible. Each sausage gets wrapped in bacon, dusted with a brown sugar spice blend, and baked until perfectly caramelized.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound sliced bacon, cut into thirds
  • 1 pound little smokies
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika
  • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a large rimmed baking tray with foil and lightly grease with cooking spray.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, cayenne pepper, paprika, and black pepper. Mix and set aside.
  3. Take a piece of cut bacon and wrap it around one of the smokies. Secure it with a toothpick and place onto the prepared tray. Repeat with the remaining sausage and bacon.
  4. Sprinkle half of the brown sugar mixture on top of the bacon wrapped smokies.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes. Flip each of the smokies over and sprinkle the remaining brown sugar mixture on top of them. Bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until bacon is crispy.
