Ingredients
Scale
For the Wings:
- 1.5-2 pounds chicken wings (drum/wing split)
- 2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/3 cup flour
- olive oil spray
For the Sauce:
- ½ cup sweet chili sauce
- 2 tbsp light brown sugar
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 400°F, add parchment sheet (optional).
- Clean chicken and pat dry. Sprinkle generously with salt and pepper.
- Pour flour into a medium bowl. Then, lightly coat each piece of chicken with flour on all sides, shaking off excess.
- Add chicken to air fryer, spray with cooking oil. Cook for 6 minutes and spritz with additional cooking oil.
- Cook for an additional 5 minutes and then turn, spritz that side with cooking oil. Let cook for 5-7 additional minutes until crispy.
- While the wings are cooking, add all of the sauce ingredients to a sauce pan and bring to a low boil. Stir for 3-4 minutes and set aside.
- After wings have cooked 15-17 minutes, remove them and brush them with sauce.
- Return to air fryer for an additional 4 mins (for a very crispy and sticky wing). Alternatively, you can skip that last fry time and toss the wings in the sauce
- Serve with leftover sauce and enjoy!
