Korean Sloppy Joes use everyday ingredients to create a bold and delicious sandwich packed with flavor. The sauce thickens beautifully and clings to the beef. Toasted buns make every bite warm and satisfying.
Ingredients
Scale
- 14 oz ground beef
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 4 burger buns
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- green onions
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon or meat chopper, until browned and fully cooked—about 5–7 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and ketchup. Simmer for 2–3 more minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef.
- While the beef simmers, lightly toast the burger buns in a dry skillet or toaster.
- Spoon the saucy beef mixture onto the bottom half of each bun. Top with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if using. Add the top bun and serve hot.
