Description

Korean Sloppy Joes use everyday ingredients to create a bold and delicious sandwich packed with flavor. The sauce thickens beautifully and clings to the beef. Toasted buns make every bite warm and satisfying.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 14 oz ground beef
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 4 burger buns
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • green onions

Instructions

  1.  In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon or meat chopper, until browned and fully cooked—about 5–7 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
  2. Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and ketchup. Simmer for 2–3 more minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef.
  3. While the beef simmers, lightly toast the burger buns in a dry skillet or toaster.
  4. Spoon the saucy beef mixture onto the bottom half of each bun. Top with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if using. Add the top bun and serve hot.
