Description

Looking for an easy Velveeta cheese sauce to top nachos, pasta, or broccoli? Look no further! This creamy cheese sauce is made with just a few simple ingredients and ready to eat in just 10 minutes!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 12 ounces Velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black ground pepper

Instructions

  1. Make a roux – melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add flour and whisk together for 1 minute.
  2. Add milk slowly while continuing to whisk. Cook for 3-5 minutes, continuing to whisk constantly, until the sauce thickens.
  3. Remove from heat and add Velveeta and spices. Whisk together until the cheese is completely melted.

Notes

Store leftover cheese sauce in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat over medium-low heat in a saucepan, adding a few tablespoons of milk and stirring often.
