Enjoy the crunch of easy fried shrimp with this simple recipe. Coated in a flavorful batter and crispy panko breadcrumbs, then fried to perfection, this easy recipe is ready in just 25 minutes!


Ingredients

  • 1⁄2 cup flour
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose seasoning
  • 1 to 1 1/2 lbs jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups panko bread crumbs
  • 3 cups oil
  • 1-2 lemons


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oil in a deep pot to 350°F.
  2. Prepare coating stations in separate bowls: seasoning and flour in one, beaten eggs in another, and panko bread crumbs in a third bowl.
  3. Pat the shrimp dry then dip into the flour mixture, then dip in beaten eggs, and finally roll in breadcrumbs. Set aside.
  4. Working in batches, fry 6 – 8 shrimp at a time until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
  5. Drain fried shrimp on paper towels. Serve with lemon wedges, if desired.
