Homemade Orange Cranberry Sauce
Can you believe I have never made homemade cranberry sauce before? Well, I mean, now I have, but before this recipe I was a jellied and canned kind of girl. NO MORE! With just one saucepan and one spoon, I’ve made the most delicious homemade orange cranberry sauce. Now I want to cranberry sauce all the things. Toast! Yogurt! Ice Cream! Cheesecake! Spoons! 😉
Glossy and gorgeous, tart and tangy with just a hint of orange and cinnamon, this homemade orange cranberry sauce is a must make for every holiday meal in our home now.
How to Serve Orange Cranberry Sauce
While you can totally serve this cranberry sauce traditionally on the side of your Thanksgiving meal, I LOVE pairing it with cheesecake for a mini dessert!
I start with a premade cheesecake from the store. Once the cheesecake has thawed according to package directions, use a 1 oz. cookie scoop to add cheesecake (about 2 scoops) to the bottom of each mini serving cup.
Top with a spoonful of that beautiful ruby red cranberry sauce and tuck in an appetizer spoon. If you are using larger cups or even mini mason jars, fill your serving item with cheesecake and just make sure to leave room for a healthy dollop of cranberry sauce.
Aside from how pretty they look lined up on a serving platter or cake stand, do you know why I love these No-Bake Mini Cranberry Cheesecakes so much? Even after a big savory holiday meal, I need a little sweet treat. These pretty little no-bake desserts are the perfect 3-4 bites so there is no reason to wait until later to eat dessert! Yay for dessert!
If you want to add a little holiday flair, top these bite-sized beauties with whipped cream and a bit of orange zest. Or keep it simple and let the cheesecake and cranberry sauce be the stars of the dessert spread!
