This bright and tangy homemade orange cranberry sauce will be a new holiday favorite!
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup water
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 teas ground cinnamon
- 12 oz. package fresh cranberries
- In a medium sauce pan, bring water, juice, cinnamon and sugars to a boil.
- Add fresh cranberries.
- Allow mixture to continue to gently boil as the cranberries begin to burst and cook down. (Use a lid or screen as berries burst to avoid being splattered by hot mixture.)
- Once most berries have burst and the sauce begins to thicken (about 10 minutes), remove from heat and allow to cool at room temperature.
- Chill in refrigerator.
