Filled with fun ways to ring in the New Year, these Kiss Me Kits for New Year's Eve make adorable party favors or just a treat for two!

If you have poked around my About page, you may know that my sweet hubby and I met on a blind date on New Year's Eve. I made these super cute Kiss Me Kits to help remember our funny first date, my totally embarrassing question and almost 17 years of togetherness! Let's celebrate and reminisce, shall we!!
Kiss Me Kits for New Year's Eve
Before I share all the details about the kiss me kits, let's take a little walk down memory lane!
Waaaaaaay back in 1997, we were closing in on New Year's Eve. I was 19, in my second year of college, single and enjoying every second of life. My best friend invited me to go out with she and her boyfriend, but I really didn't want to be that dreaded third wheel.
So, somewhere along the way, someone hatched the crazy plan that I would go out with her boyfriend's best friend on a blind date for New Year's Eve. Why not, right!? The funny thing is, it was SUCH a blind date that Chris didn't even know he was going on a blind date!
So, we showed up, he was game and we proceeded to celebrate the new year with a big group of friends in downtown Orlando. At the end of the night, we were headed back to a friend's house and realized that there were only seconds until midnight.
So, I turned in my seat in the big taxi van, and in a very uncharacteristic move, in front of everyone, loudly asked Chris if he was going to kiss me at midnight.
Ay, yi yi!
But he did!
And it the was the beginning of almost 17 years of us and almost 15 years of marriage! Every year, I ask him the same question. And every year, he kisses me at midnight.
So, let's make these Kiss Me Kits so you can celebrate with us!

Tuck all of your fun stuff into your container of choice- I love these mini kraft bags I snagged at the Target dollar spot {one of my favorite places on earth, ha ha}. 0H! This is such a great idea. I live on Deer Island, New Brunswick. We have a tradition here that was started many, many years ago on our neighbour island of Campobello. On New Years Eve the children leave out a large bowl, or their Christmas stocking. 'Mother Goody' (some call her 'Nanny New Year', 'Mrs Clause', or Granny Goody'), will fill their bowls with treats! Believe it or not, my kids usually forget to set out their bowls and I end up using their Santa Stockings. So, this year I am going to use a variant on your great idea! Most everything will be similar yours (non-alcoholic, of course), but I think that I will include Hershey's Kisses in their 'Kiss Me Kits', to ensure that my kids give a New Years Kiss to their loving mother! Thanks for the inspiration!

I remember how my husband and I met eons ago. I was sort of spying on him bcoz his sister asked me to check his whereabouts. its NOT really a nice feeling to meet a stranger lol thank God, he happened to be so nice. we both love coffee and we're both adventurous when it comes to food.
I will surely try this Kiss Me kit for next New Year! 🙂
