Homemade strawberry milk is a great alternative to sodas! Made with fresh strawberries, there are no artificial flavors or additives, just big fruit flavor!
We are not huge soda drinkers in our house. So, the most frequent complaint from our boys is that they are sick of water. I get it. But I really hate for them {and us!} to drink too many glasses of sweet tea, sports drinks or even too much fruit juice. I know … #worstparentsever. So, over Spring Break, I had the bright idea to give plain ol’ milk and fresh strawberries a little time together in the blender. Most delicious decision ever!
Homemade Strawberry Milk
We have been giving our blender a work out lately, right?! First, Sunshine Slush {for my fellow Orange Julius lovers}, then a once in a while treat of creamy cookie dough iced coffee and now? This frothy concoction that is full of fresh fruit flavor – say that 5 times fast, ha ha! I think it actually tastes a little like a Strawberry Julius – so good!

This homemade strawberry milk tastes SO much better than just adding that strawberry syrup to milk. AND I can pronounce every ingredient in it. AND it has a generous helping of fresh fruit! Plus, it is super cute served in my favorite quilted mason jars with fun straws. I love the wide smoothie/milkshake straws for drinks like these. No more fish face as you struggle to get that little bit of fruit or ice to give way through the straw … you’re welcome 😉
I think I may experiment with more versions of this fruity milk. Banana, blueberry, and raspberry sound like they would be delicious, too! Have you made something similar?
