And let the holiday recipe blitz begin! There is just something about this time of year that inspires me! I love the warm rustic colors of Fall, the bright bling and lights of Christmas, the pop and fizz of New Year’s Eve … this truly is my favorite season. So be prepared for all manner of holiday gifts and crafts, easy holiday desserts and a big ol’ dose of holiday cheer around here! Fair warning: I’m pretty sure there will excessive exclamation points, too. It’s what I do!
Okay, so let’s get this sugar fest started with a super simple dessert that you can prep ahead for holiday entertaining …
Easy Holiday Desserts ~ Eggnog Pudding Pies
I’ll go ahead and open this can of worms …
Eggnog – Yay or Nay?
I am firmly in the eggnog lovers camp. As soon as I spy that half gallon of pale yellow eggnog in the dairy case, it hits my cart and I can’t get home fast enough. With that first little sip of cold eggnog I know the holidays are upon us! And even though I know eggnog is typically associated with Christmas, I think the richness and nutmeg are kind of perfect for Thanksgiving, too. Shoot – make them for both holidays! I think they are that good!!

Description
Eggnog pudding pies are one of my favorite easy holiday desserts! You can prep these easy no bake pudding pies ahead of time for stress free holiday entertaining!
Ingredients
- 1 ¾ cups eggnog
- ⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- One 3.9 oz. box of instant vanilla pudding
- 6 mini graham cracker pie shells
- Whipped cream or whipped topping
- Additional ground nutmeg for garnish
Instructions
- Whisk together the vanilla pudding mix, eggnog and ground nutmeg until smooth.
- Divide the pudding between the mini graham cracker pie shells.
- Refrigerate until ready to serve.
- Garnish with a dollop of whipped cream / whipped topping and sprinkle on ground nutmeg for garnish.
If you prefer, you can make this in an 8 or 9 inch pie crust. I, however, love mini anything, so at our house, everyone gets their own petite pie. Served with a big ol’ fluffy dollop of whipped cream. I totally added a dollop (or three) more when we chowed down after the obligatory blog photos.
If you are like me, I always need easy holiday desserts. For brunches and parties and get togethers and this year’s Pinterest party (eeeee! more details coming soon!) … and maybe just because!
