Give your favorite people a little love on Valentine’s Day with these Berry Sweet Mason Jar Valentines!
Oh sweet friends, do I have the cutest little berry themed Valentine gift for you today! It involves so many of my favorite things: mason jars! bakers twine! and candy! Not to mention that
cheesy berry sweet little pun!
Berry Sweet Mason Jar Valentines
My recent Valentine posts all came about after a trip to a new bulk food store that I found. Have you been to one of these stores? They sell candy (oh my word, the candy!), nuts, different kinds of flours, snacks, etc. in big bulk bins and you pay by the weight of what you buy. Needless to say, it was a little dangerous for my debit card. But super fun for the blog 🙂
I made these Doggone Cute Valentines with printable tags here for Shaken Together:
And shared these super cute “I’m Hog Wild for You” little piggy valentines over at The Crafting Chicks!!
And I’ve got another cute Valentine idea – this one for the boys – coming soon, too!
Now, for these Berry Sweet Mason Jar Valentines, you only need a few basic supplies:
- Mason Jars – I used these wide mouth mason jars and I love that you can see the gummies inside
- Haribo Gummy Strawberries
- Green and red card stock – this is a perfect project to use up your scraps!
- Flower punch – this is a similar punch to one I used (or just hand cut leaves from the green paper)
- Craft glue or scrapbook adhesive
- Red/white bakers twine
- Green washi tape
- Hole Punch
- Fine tip black marker
Guys – these are SO easy!
Just fill a mason jar with gummy strawberries.
Screw on the lid.
Then, make the berry tag.
Cut a berry shape out of red card stock. Then, use a flower punch to punch a flower out of the green card stock. Fold the flower in half and glue it on the top of the strawberry for the leaves. Add “You’re Berry Sweet” with the black marker. Punch a small hole in the top of the berry. Thread bakers twine through the hole. Depending on the size of your jar, leave enough length so the berry hangs down a bit. Tape the berry tag to the top of the jar with washi tape.
These would be a cute craft to make with the kiddos for their teachers, the girls at work or for that special someone!
While I used gummy strawberries to fill these mason jar valentines, you could use strawberry fruit snacks, freeze dried strawberries or even a batch of homemade strawberry jam! Whatever berry sweet treat you use, your Valentine is sure to love it!
