Bath Salts Ornaments + Printable Tags
Bath salts are one of my favorite handmade gifts to give! Who doesn’t need a little down time or “me time”?! And I totally LOVE the idea of filling an ornament with the perfect amount of bath salts needed for a relaxing, deliciously scented bath! Okay, let’s get started!
Supplies
- Plastic ornaments – this is the size I used*
- Bath salts – my easy 2 ingredient recipe here (use Lavender, Peace & Calming or Joy Young Living Essential Oils to coordinate with the gift tags)
- Small funnel
- Printable chalkboard tags printed on 8 1/2 x 11 card stock* – see below
- Red & white bakers twine*
- Faux leaves and holly berries

The How-To
First, you will need to print the tags on white cardstock. Each page of the printable contains 6 tags for each type of bath salts: Lavender, Peace & Calming and Joy.
Remove the ornament top and use the funnel to fill each ornament with about 1/4 cup bath salts. This fills each ornament with enough bath salts for one bath.
Replace the topper on the ornaments.
Attached the tag with twine or ribbon. You can add a note to the back of the tag indicating the ingredients and that the recipient can just add the bath salts to a warm bath to enjoy! Add faux lavender, holly or berries for a festive touch.
These are really thoughtful gifts for friends and family, neighbors and coworkers, hostess gifts and more!

Question- I got your size ornament that you suggested. I could really only find the ornaments that open in the middle. I know they have others but that were for a decent price, this is what I could find. Do you have any tricks on how to put the ornaments together with the bath salts in them?
thanks
why plastic vs glass ornaments?
I just saved this. what a great idea. My daughter and daughter-in-law will love these bath salts. I am wondering how many drops of essential oil is in the bath salts?
Hi Ann! I use about 10 drops for every 1/2 cup of epsom salts. Hope your family members love these essential oil bath salt ornaments!
