Are you ready for another round of Craft Lightning?!
This is speed crafting, the holiday edition … done in 15 minutes or less. The project I’m sharing with you today doesn’t require a ton of time or complicated supplies. Now that is a gift in itself this holiday season, right?! Pretty, sparkly, deliciously scented cinnamon stick icicle ornaments!
You might have seen a sneak peek from this project on Instagram … yep, I was crafting before 5am, ha ha! And with only one cup of coffee under my belt, so you know this has to be an easy DIY! So, since time is of the essence, let’s jump right in!
Supplies …
Cinnamon sticks {I found the long cinnamon sticks at the Dollar Tree and each packet had at least 10 cinnamon sticks in it!}
Hot glue gun & glue sticks
Pretty twine, ribbon, jute, etc. {I used white/silver twine from Minted}
Sparkle Mod Podge {or glue & glitter}
Paint brush or foam brush
How To …
Form a loop with the twine and knot the end.
Hot glue the loop to the back of the cinnamon stick. I like the curled seam to show, so I made sure that it was facing forward.
Brush on the Sparkle Mod Podge {or brush on glue and sprinkle on glitter}.
Allow ornaments to dry – I hung them from the knobs on my kitchen cabinets and clothes pinned them to the lid of a Tupperware bowl that had a lip on it. Cinnamon stick icicle ornaments everywhere!
Brush on a second coat of the Mod Podge if you want even more sparkle.
Hang on your tree or tie on a package!
These are so quick and easy – I used small cinnamon sticks for my mini tree and used long cinnamon sticks to tuck in the branches of my full size tree. They pack a pretty big sparkly punch for a skinny little cinnamon stick thanks to that sparkle Mod Podge!
How about a few more of my favorite holiday posts?

I love the scent of cinnamon around Christmas, but I never thought to add it to the tree. I love this!
