While paging through a 1984 church cookbook that was passed down to me from Chris’ dad, I ran across a few recipes that I knew I just had to try.

Now, the recipes in this cookbook are a gamble.   There are no pictures and heck, sometimes the instructions are a little shaky:  “Add a can of whatsandsuch”.  But what size, Bernice Howard??  Luckily, every recipe I have tried so far has been a winner! {I mean, these tangy crock pot lil smokies were amazing!}

And this fruity slushy drink (also called slush punch) is no exception!  It is SO delicious!

Slushy Fruit Punch

Isn’t that color gorgeous?!  This slushy blender punch gets its bright color from frozen fruit and it is so refreshing!  Tart lemonade and tangy pineapple balance out the sweet strawberries while the addition of sparkling water adds a little fizz.  We just couldn’t get enough! The boys ask me every time I go to the grocery store if I bought the ingredients to make this punch, so you know it has got to be good!

Fruity, slushy blender punch!

Since this punch is whipped up in your blender, it is easy to serve in minutes!  You can even keep everything on hand and make a batch or two when unexpected guests stop by.

How to Make Slush Punch for a Party

Now, I don’t know about you, but I am a sucker for punch at a party.  If there is a punch bowl, you can bet I will stop by at least a time or two (or three!).  This fruity blender punch can be stretched to serve a crowd or party, too.

To your punch bowl, add one liter of cold ginger ale.  Add the blended fruit mixture and stir to combine.  Float a few frozen strawberries or pineapple rings on the surface of the punch and watch your guests flock to the punch bowl!
