Ad: Football Food Feast ~ 3 Easy Appetizers & #SuperMoments with Tyson

Collective Bias recipe disclosure

We’ve talked about this before, but I am the lone girl in a house full of boys!  With my trio of sports fanatics, lately our Sundays include lots of football watching, statistics swapping, mega munching and copious amounts of Pinterest for me!  With a few friends over and BIG appetites to feed, last weekend I decided it was high time for a football food feast!!  Easy appetizers and finger foods are our favorite way to munch through a Sunday!  This fun mini party was a great practice run for the Big Game in a few weeks!

3 awesomely easy recipes for football food!

With my game day menu planned, I headed to Walmart to grab Tyson® Any’tizers Popcorn Chicken and Chicken Fries, some veggies, bacon (!!) and a couple of our favorite Kraft dressings for dipping.  {Keep your eyes peeled, because I heard through the grapevine that the Kraft dressings will be sporting a special ‘playbook’ and Walmart is going to have these guys on rollback for $5.98!}  SCORE!

Big game food for a tasty touchdown at Walmart!

Once my guys lugged in the groceries {added bonus of boys!}, they reclaimed their spots on the couch and I headed to the kitchen to make our easy appetizers.  Now, I’m not sure exactly what it is, but any snack that is bite-sized, served on a stick or with a dipping sauce is a HUGE hit in our house.  Is it a guy thing to have an aversion to forks and napkins?!

And now, our delicious line up…

First String: Chicken Fries & Veggie Ranch Dippers!

Chicken fries and veggie ranch dipper cups - easy way to serve snacks!

This appetizer wasn’t on the side lines for long! Simply squeeze ranch dressing in the bottom of a plastic cup and fill the cup with celery and carrot sticks and crunchy chicken fries.  These were LONG gone by the first quarter!

The MVP: Popcorn Chicken Bacon Cheddar Sliders!

Popcorn chicken bacon cheddar sliders - all of our favorite food groups!

While the chicken baked, I popped a pan of those super yummy parker house style rolls in the oven.  Each roll was stuffed with popcorn chicken, a slice of sharp cheddar cheese and a piece of crispy bacon.  I served them with Kraft Homestyle and Bulls Eye BBQ Ranch dressing and my guys declared that these deserved to be MVP!

Special Team: Popcorn Buffalo Chicken Salad Skewers

Popcorn buffalo chicken salad skewers - bite sized salad, no forks required!

Don’t underestimate the power of salad on a stick!  I tossed the rest of the popcorn chicken in a little buffalo sauce.  Then, I added a dollop of ranch dressing in the bottom of little appetizer bowls and skewered a buffalo popcorn chicken, some crispy lettuce and sprinkled on a few pieces of crispy bacon.  There might have been some excessive celebration!

Now that you know the players, let’s play ball!  The food flood gates were opened and the crowd descended on the concession stand!  These easy appetizers didn’t stand a chance!  I put on my black and white stripes, grabbed my whistle and called foul a few times during the half-time chow down!

Check out the funny “Super Moments” we made up for our football food feast!

Super Moment #1: Illegal Motion

Illegal Motion - a fun Super Moment at our football feast!

Flag on the play!  I see bite marks on the end of that carrot!  You’re benched, buddy!

Super Moment 2: Roughing the Passer

Roughing the passer - a fun super moment at our football food feast!

That’s a penalty for sure!  This team is playing a little dirty but I guess with those crazy good appetizers waiting in the end zone, who can blame them?!

Super Moment #3:  False Start

False start - a fun Super Moment at our football feast!

Man down!  Luckily, we were able to reset the formation and this play went down as planned:  with a side of Kraft Bulls Eye BBQ ranch!

All three of these easy appetizers are definitely going to get an ‘instant replay’ in a few weeks when we head to our neighbors’ house to watch the Big Game!  And while our favorite team didn’t make it to the Big Game, you can still score your own tasty touchdown and connect with Tyson on Facebook and Twitter!
