This is simply a mason jar filled to the brim with Valentine candy corn (it tastes just like the Halloween colored candy corn) that is topped with a red and white gingham canning lid - the same ones I made a canning jar lid banner with! - and tied with a "corny" little stamped love note!
Come on now, these are cute, right? Cheesy, but cute! These corny little mason jar gifts are the perfect sweet gift to leave on the hubby's car seat, waiting for the kiddos at the table (to eat after dinner naturally) or make them with your little ones at school or church to give to their mommas!
This is not nearly enough sugar, right?! Here are a few sweet treats for your Valentine:

Good morning! I had no idea Valentine candy corn even existed. Now there's another reason for me to stroll down the candy isle - getting some, and this is a SWEET idea!

ReplyDeleteI found you from the Strut Your Stuff link up. What a cute gift idea and perfect for Valentine’s. I just started a new Saturday Spotlight Linky Party on my blog this week, and would love to have you stop by and share! http://angelshomestead.com/saturday-spotlight-1/
ReplyDeleteKeri, thank you so much for the inspiration! I had purchased a plastic tray of various Valentine candy for my daughter, so I washed out an old mason jar, mixed up the candy, added a small wooden spoon, bow and a few charms (nothing bought - I shopped my home for everything but the candy, of course). What a nice gift! I shall be posting about mine this week (after I give it to her) and am linking to your post here giving you credit for the wonderfufl idea. Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteCute! We love the Valentine candy corn, and your tag is so sweet - fun idea!
