organize your iPhone chargers with washi tape

I’m not sure about your house, but around our place we have a ba-zillion chargers for all things Apple.  Two iPhones, my old iPhone that Kaleb uses for apps and music, Chris’ iPod and an iTouch (passed down from a friend) … we are constantly shuffling around cords and chargers!  Needless to say, “Guys!  Who has my charger?!” is a frequently used phrase in the Bassett household.  Until now … behold:  organize your iPhone chargers with washi tape!

Though they are pretty much interchangeable, the boys are a little rougher on things than I, so I wanted a way to keep all of our chargers organized and easy to find.  So, I had a flash of brilliance (I do have them every now and again, ha ha!), let the boys pick out their favorite washi tape patterns and got to taping!!  I wrapped washi tape around all three parts of the charger and used a small piece of clear scotch tape to cover the ends of the washi tape – especially since we’ll be handling them often.

Now, it is easy to track down whose plug goes with which charger cord and what device!  And I totally love my red and white polka dot charger!!

Here are a few more of my favorite things to try:
This project or recipe was shared at all the blogs on my Link page!  Go take a peek … they rock!

  1. So cute! I’m pretty sure they don’t sell washi tape in Canada. For real. I’ve never seen it in craft stores or anything. I would probably buy some if I saw it just in case I had a little flash of brilliance too, but alas, I’m still tape-less. Your chargers look amazing!

    • we could use patterned duct tape in canada :)

    • Hello, there! I don’t know about anywhere else but I am a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator in Canada and we now sell washi tape in the new catalogue that just came out this month. I’d love to help you out, if you would like some. You can check out my blog too for some ideas using other product. Click the link in my profile to my blog, and you’ll be able to access my Stampin’ Up! page there, if you wish.

    • They exist in stores in Canada. I live in Richmond, and the Diaso store (Japanese or Korean version of dollar store) in Aberdeen mall sells them.
Look for them in different names too: Print tape, fabric tape, decorative tape, washi tape, etc…

  2. Oh how cute, thanks Keri!

  53. I really like this idea !
I LOVE washi tape : in fact i just did a blog post myself on how much I love and what I use it for! This is such a great idea, thank you for sharing it in the Blogosphere, Our Iphone chargers look a bit different to yours , i think its because we have a different plug here in Australia, . Yours are neat and small and kind of square, our iphone charger plugs are large and a cross between a bulky rectangle and an oblong. I think I could still modify this idea to use for me though!
