{love this}: pins & brooches

Lately, I have been obsessed with pins!!  And for once, I don't mean Pinterest pins but accessories!  I remember my great grandmother's collection of pins ... sparkly Scottie dogs, rhinestone flowers and a big enameled B for her name, Blanche.  She always had a pin perched on her blouse or sweater.  I love that there are tons of Etsy stores full of pins and brooches for a fun, funky pop of color on a plain cardigan, a vintage locket or a sweet felt flower to add some softness!!

Like this fluffy cream colored flower pin from The Winthrop Chronicles Shop ...

I have two pins from Sarah's shop and get compliments every time I wear them :)
Much Love, Ily also has these one of a kind, layered corsages - don't you just love the buttons and beads?!

I also have a corsage and a red poppy (take a look at it in our 2012 family photos) from this shop and they definitely get much love!
A few of these gorgeous little brooches from A Little Red Ribbon would make a fun statement ...

Vintage-y lockets like this personalized bunny locket brooch from Sora Designs are cool ...

Add a little rustic whimsy with wood pins like this Sailor's Sparrow Wooden Brooch from Nevertheless ...

This Tweed Bow Pin is adorable and girly and available in The Bow Maker's shop ...

A classic cameo brooch/pin is fine, but you can DIY a cameo brooch with these brightly colored blank cameo brooches from NappyHappy ...

Alright, so those are my seven picks ... do you wear pins?  Do you have any fun ways to accessorize with them?  Have a favorite shop or site?  Leave me a comment or link to check out!!

  2. Since I am the one who wore the little Scottie dog pins, I don't think you should knock them. Over 50 years ago, I was wearing pins like the ones you are featuring ... most of them made by my father. Guess he was ahead of the curve, huh?
