If you like caramel apples, this warm drink is perfect for you!!
It starts with a mug of hot apple cider ... you can purchase it and warm it up, or make your own! Just add mulling spices - like these from French Press - to apple juice and let it simmer. Either way, fill a mug about 2/3 full of hot apple cider. Add a scoop of dulce de leche ice cream (or any vanilla/caramel flavor), drizzle with warm caramel topping and ENJOY!
These were warm and spicy, rich and creamy from the melting ice cream with just a touch of decadence thanks to the caramel. Perfect for a night around the fire place or to warm up from caroling (does anyone do that anymore?!)! Okay, so after sledding or ice skating or snowman building ... basically any of the fun outdoor things that we don't do in Florida, ha ha!!
A little more holiday inspiration ...
