UPDATE October 2020: We have updated this post with a new printable you can download here.

I found two big white fruit bowls on clearance at our local grocery store, but you could also pile your fruit in a vintage fruit crate, wooden box, basket or even a pretty reusable “green bag”!  Here is what the Little Bug and I put in his teachers’ gifts … and I’ve included all of my cheesy corny punny sweet little phrases that go with each fruit!

  • Apples:  you’re awesome to the core
  • Plum:  you’re pretty much plum perfect
  • Orange:  orange you glad it’s almost summer?
  • Bananas:  i’m bananas about your class
  • Pear:  i hope it’s a-pear-ant i appreciate you
  • Berries:  i’m berry glad you’re my teacher (not pictured)
  • Grapes:  i think you’re grape (not pictured)
  • Caramel fruit dip:  you’re sweet as caramel
  • Chocolate fruit dip:  relax and take a dip

And do you know how much I love you, my faithful readers and visitors?  I am sharing the fruit tags printable with you … all 9 cheery little tags to make your life a little easier 🙂

Some of the tags can also be used to attach to individual gifts that are perfect for classroom volunteers, room parents, administrators, school support staff or anyone .  For my “you’re awesome to the core” gifts, place an individual caramel dip in a cello bag, pop an apple in a pretty cupcake wrapper, pile it in the bag and tie on the tag with a little brightly colored bakers twine or ribbon!

If you are (or were) a teacher … thank you!!  For long hours and slim budgets, for instilling a life long love of learning, for patience in times of exasperation, for your dedication and professionalism, for your perfect handwriting and the character voices during story time, for doling out hugs and for loving our children!!

Hope the rest of your week is wonderful!!

  1. SMART and adorable and teachers will feel GOOD about eating them instead of feeling bad about all the treats they are consuming…I totally had a love/hate relationship with teacher treats from the kids…this is a perfect solution!

  2. THANK YOU!!! I love all the ideas out there– but they all consist of unhealthy treats! I know so many that are trying to be healthy– or get ready for beach season :). All those “treats” add up! I am SO using this!!
