{create this} "thanks for popping by" party favors & FREE printable

Around here, we are getting ready for the rounds of birthdays … the Bigger Bug and one of my best friends in April, my niece Jordyn in May, my nephew Jake and the Bugs’ friends in June, mine (yippee!!) and our “best couple friend” in August and on and on … so I am definitely getting into the party mood!  And it doesn’t hurt that I’ll celebrate just about anything, ha ha!

This week for {create this} I am sharing an easy party favor that doubles as a thank you card, can be used for boys or girls AND it’s perfect for a movie party, circus party, foodie party or truthfully, just about any party!

Let’s {create this} … “thanks for popping by” party favors and FREE printable!!

These are so simple to make, I promise!  Here is what you’ll need:

1.  Single serve popcorn bag
2.  Office supply store manila tag (inked, of course) – remove the string that comes with it
3.  My FREE party printable!!
4.  Popcorn box and kernels (I used a flower punch, but you can hand cut them, too.)
5.  Ribbon or thread or twine

The how-to:  Print the tags, have your kiddo sign them, and trim them using a paper trimmer.  Adhere a “thanks” tag to each manila tag.  For the popcorn boxes, hand cut a popcorn box out of red card stock and punch three flowers for popcorn kernels.  I inked the white kernels with light brown, yellow and light orange ink just to make them a tad bit more realistic.  Layer the kernels on top of the popcorn box and adhere the popcorn box at an angle to your “thanks” tag.  Tie the manila tag onto a single serve bag of popcorn and pile them in a bowl for your party goers to grab on their way out!

Keep an eye out at your local grocery store and grab popcorn when it is on sale (ours is ‘buy one, get one free’ at least once a month) and then these are really an inexpensive way to add a personal party touch!  These favors are a great alternative to candy and there is nothing better than a wobbly, slanted kid’s signature on a thank you card :)

What’s coming up this week?  Another citrus recipe in my dessert series, another {create this} crafty post and just some other fun stuff that might strike my fancy :)   And there are lots of ways to follow shaken together if you don’t want to miss anything … I’d just love for you to stick around for a while!

This project or recipe was shared at the blogs on my Link page!
