{taste this} mini chocolate nutella croissants

Let’s start this {taste this} post with a picture, shall we?

Is your mouth watering yet?  These are divine.  Buttery.  Chocolatey.  Decadent.  Touch of hazelnut.  In short?  The downfall of any diet and maybe the best accompaniment to coffee.  Ever.

I made these for a baby shower brunch and they did not stick around for long!  The best part is that they could not be easier!

To make 32 mini croissants, you’ll need:  2 tubes of crescent rolls, Nutella spread and mini chocolate chips. That’s it!

Roll out the crescent rolls so they are a little thinner – this will make more layers of flaky buttery croissant and rich chocolate filling.  Cut each crescent roll in half lengthwise – here is where the ‘mini’ comes in :)  You could leave them full size, but they are pretty rich.  Besides, if they’re mini, you can eat 2 and not feel quite so bad!

After you have rolled them out and cut them, spread on Nutella and sprinkle with mini chocolate chips.  And just for the record, I use baking stones that darken as they are ‘seasoned’ so I promise I am not baking on some crazy brown unwashed pans ;)

Now, roll up and bake at 375* until golden brown.

You can also fold these more like rugelach and make little chocolatey pockets – see!

Hope this inspired you to make a little something delicious today!

These were shared at all the blogs/parties on my Link page!
